더 크로스는 김혁건(메인보컬), 이시하(작곡/건반/기타)로 구성된 2인조 남성 가요 그룹으로 록과 클래식, 메탈 등 퓨전 스타일의 음악을 파워풀하면서도 감미로운 목소리로 들려줍니다. ‘Don’t Cry’, ‘당신을 위하여’, ‘난장이가 쏘아올린 작은 공’ 등의 히트곡으로 전폭적인 인기를 얻었고, 특히 ‘Don’t Cry’는 2003년 데뷔 당시의 타이틀 곡이나 20년이 넘은 현재까지 전 세대의 사랑을 받고 있습니다.
메인보컬을 맡은 김혁건이 교통사고로 사지마비 판정을 받았음에도 멤버 이시하와 전동 휠체어의 도움으로 다시 활동을 재개하는 투혼을 보여주며 더 크로스만의 록 스피릿을 보여줬습니다. 신체적인 핸디캡을 딛고 록 음악으로 음악 인생을 완주하는 것이 향후 목표라고 밝힌 더 크로스, 이번 2024 부산국제록페스티벌은 멤버 김혁건의 사고 이후 처음 서는 록 페스티벌 무대입니다.

the CROSS is a two-member male group consisting of Kim Hyuk-gun(main vocal) and Lee Si-ha(composer/keyboard/guitar), which presents fusion-style music such as rock, classical, and metal with a powerful yet sweet voice. It gained widespread popularity with hit songs such as ‘Don’t Cry’, ‘For You’, and ‘A dwarf launches a little ball’, and in particular, “Don’t Cry” which is the title track of its debut in 2003, is still loved by all generations for more than 20 years.
Even though Kim Hyuk-gun, the main vocalist, was diagnosed with quadriplegia due to a car accident, he showed his fighting spirit and resumed his activities with the help of member Lee Si-ha and an electric wheelchair. the CROSS revealed that their future goal is to overcome physical handicap and complete their musical career through rock music, and 2024 Busan International Rock Festival is their first rock festival stage since member Kim Hyuk-gun’s accident.
